Searching For Data
Everyone makes it easy to put Data into their systems. The VizBiz makes it easy to get it out again.
The VizBiz is written in the powerful “datacentric” language Visual Foxpro, which means it has the searching power normally only found in the colossal and expensive databases used by “big business”
All business management programs emphasise how easy it is to create data but our boast at the VizBiz is how easily we can get the data out again. Unlike almost all competitors, who have tried to anticipate what information you may want to see and present you with simple ways to see just that selection, our starting point is that we cannot know what will matter to you, so we’ve made sure you have access to ALL the data.
And we don’t just mean you can “report” on all the data (many of our competitors can make that claim). We mean, that having found it, you can WORK with that data. If, for example, you want to find all the Sales Orders containing SuperWidget XX, you can do that and then work with those orders (amending prices, substituting products, despatching etc) as normal.
Advanced Searches allow multiple conditions and access to related tables. For example, if you’re in the Sales Invoice module, you could find all the invoices in an arbitrary date range, featuring sales of a given product just to customers in Leicester.
Having made the effort to create complex filters, the VizBiz allows you to store them for future use and give them meaningful titles so you can find them next time you need them.
Instant Searches give almost instant access to the most common data you’re likely to look for. In Sales Orders, for example, you can find any account, invoice address, purchase order, invoice number or customer reference just by pressing F9, selecting the relevant option and typing in the reference you’re looking for.
