Our target market are the small but significant percentage of Businesses whose trading data or practices do not conform to the “norms” of standard business software. Most of our customers were using Sage or Pegasus before they came to us.
One of our growing “niche” markets is the “Office Products Industry” where, for example,
Sales Orders need to be imported from a Web Store and
converted to Purchase Orders
for supply, by third parties to your customer, on your behalf.
And the stock list (catalogue) needs several thousand updates every week
One button (and, typically, answering a few Yes/No questions) does the import. Another button and a couple more questions creates the matching Purchase Order. It is always possible to switch from a Sales Order to its related Purchase Order and vice versa.
This makes it possible, for another example, for the Purchase invoice data - which typically isn’t available till several days after the goods have been delivered to your customer and which frequently has prices which change rapidly and frequently – to update individual lines on the related Sales Invoices. This permits probably the most accurate and “fine grained” profitability analysis available outside bespoke software.
And, as suggested by the examples above, part of the way we tackle the frequently changing prices is by allowing supplier files from the major Stationery wholesalers to update their item prices – typically, once a week - in our Stock File. This typically involves changing several thousand prices (every week) and usually involves a user running a procedure with a few keystrokes which performs the entire update (and makes it possible for you to find what changed after the event) in a couple of minutes. A task not even possible in standard packages.
That kind of “abnormal flexibility” is standard in most of the VizBiz modules.
